Anodal tDCS applied to the left frontal cortex abrogates scopolamine-induced fear memory deficit via the dopaminergic system

چکیده

Evidence suggests that transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) modulates conditioned fear memories and has effects on cognitive flexibility via the dopaminergic system. This study examines whether modulation of scopolamine-induced memory deficit by anodal tDCS could be mediated The male NMRI mice received scopolamine, 30 min before conditioning, showed impaired contextual retention. Mice subjected to left frontal for 20 or min, retrieval. Anodal application significantly decreased scopolamine response retention, while one applied did not alter. Moreover, abolished deficit. Dopaminergic antagonists SCH23390 sulpiride, alone in combination, prevented abolishment effect deficit, whereas they alter impairing at dose 2 mg/kg. Our data suggest abrogates influence antagonists, indicating involvement system

Effects of left prefrontal transcranial direct current stimulation on the acquisition of contextual and cued fear memory

Objective(s): Behavioral and neuroimaging studies have shown that transcranial direct current stimulation, as a non-invasive neuromodulatory technique, beyond regional effects can modify functionally interconnected remote cortical and subcortical areas. In this study, we hypothesized that the induced changes in cortical excitability following the application of cathodal or anodal tDCS over the ...

Precondition of right frontal region with anodal tDCS can restore the fear memory impairment induced by ACPA in male mice

Fear memory and learning cause behavioural patterns such as fight or flight responses, which increase survival probability, but unfit processing of fear memory and learning can lead to maladaptive behaviours and maladies such as phobias, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and anxiety disorders. The growing prevalence of these maladies shows the need to quest novel methods for their treatment...

dopaminergic activity in the medial prefrontal cortex modulates fear conditioning

the purpose of the present study was to determine the role of medial prefrontal cortex (mpfc) dopaminergic system in fear conditioning response considering individual differences. animals were initially counterbalanced and classified based on open field test, and then were given a single infusion of the dopamine agonist, amphetamine (amph) and antagonist, clozapine (clz) into the medial prefron...

Anodal tDCS over the Primary Motor Cortex Facilitates Long-Term Memory Formation Reflecting Use-Dependent Plasticity

Previous research suggests that anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) over the primary motor cortex (M1) modulates NMDA receptor dependent processes that mediate synaptic plasticity. Here we test this proposal by applying anodal versus sham tDCS while subjects practiced to flex the thumb as fast as possible (ballistic movements). Repetitive practice of this task has been shown t...
